This B&B has wireless!
10 JunI’ve done so much since the last time I’ve written so I’ll just give you some of the highlights.
I went to the hospital…. so that was fun. While staying at a B&B in Kokstaad I contracted some sort of bacterial infection (the doctor’s best guess). I was feverish all night and had stomach problems. When I got to the small local hospital the doctor told me I had a BP of around 80/40 and ~102 fever (this was when I was feeling better too). They put me on a IV drip for dehydration, and gave me a shot, a pill, and two medicines with the IV and I was there for 6 hours.
The group had to go on the next location of Mthatha so I had to stay behind with Pat (the incredibly kind owner of the BnB) and John had to come back and get me the next day. I was very lucky I got sick on the last day there because Mthatha is far more rural and I wouldn’t have gotten good medical care.
One of my favorite days so far was when we were staying at Peacehaven (Pat’s) Bnb and drove out to a nearby rural school. We hung out with the kids the day before and then we came back to paint it. The rural schools especially are in such bad shape. We got to come in and paint in the outside of two whole buildings and then paint murals on them and decorate the inside of a kindergarten classroom too. It was a physically exhausting day but absolutely worth it and so rewarding.
I’m feeling better now….and I’m going bungy jumping off of the world’s highest bungy location tomorrow because I AM CERTIFIABLY INSANE. I can’t believe I’m doing it, wish me luck and send me some extra courage. We’re also ziplining tomorrow…so quite the adventuresome day headed my way.

I have plenty more stories but these are just a few I could jot down before I get in trouble for stealing my GAs computer.
